My Learing Fall and Rise

This is a short story of how I survived the first half of Junior year in High School. So The first day of school. It was my first time having an actual school scheduled. First period, it was to be very awkward at first feeling that hopefully someone I know walks in, in that moment someone did. It was a relief someone did. I got along with her very well and few others came in a at our table and thought, make a new friend, you can do it. Once class started we all had to make introductions and from there on, we became classmates. Second period, to be honest this period is well, just don't open your mouth too often. I thought 'I can survive it'. Third period, chemistry, OOIII, you know how it goes, if not then you'll soon know;). Now, fourth period, cheese where do I do even start, to be honest it's the one class I don't have any feelings for, I mean the teacher is something (in a good way). He seemed like a hard core person but in a mature way, he is very nice to

My brain on Thanksgiving break

So to be honest, my brain was in a recharging stage/mode thingy. I was taking advantage of the break and actually catching my breath before swimming again for the next event. One how I was catching  my breath was reading a book about women who changed the world but yer aren't in the history books. As I read, I was able to deep think a lot and when I mean a lot its a LOT. I thought 'this is towards the of one of many big races, if you finish with knowing you did your best and hardest, may get first place,' but then I somehow slept. I ate, thought, danced, slept. That was my vacation and it was amazing.

Today I did my interview

I did my interview, how did I do?

The Value of my time

The value of time. It is a big role in our lives and really we stress, get angry, get sad, get happy. Everything we do evolves around time. Use it wisely.

Vocabulary we need

The vocabulary. What is it? I know it's something we literally use everyday. In our daily everyday routine. If you can not figure it out. Well, watch yourself. The answer is right there, just need to look a little further.

On Self-Reliance part 5

Travelling is a fool's paradise- running but eventually embarking on yourself I pack my trunk, embrace my friends, embark on the sea- getting ready for the journey far at last wake up in Naples, and there beside me is the stern fact, the sad self, unrelenting, identical, that I fled from- facing old self  Your own gift- you is what makes you

On Self-Reliance part 4

The other terror every time you learn and grow your changing your mind everyday 'why would your keep your head over your shoulder?' use every resources you have? able to function Consistently - how you processes on being older is it so bad to be misunderstood? great is to be misunderstood easily understandable different-admirable andys and hemela virtual device-human (can) believe the voyage of the best ships are zig zag lines leave it how it will, do right now escort of angles self dependent self arrived we don't respect someone because they ask to, we respect because we see if they need it what if you were aware all the little things in life you do?

First Impression of on Self-Reliance

This is a first impression of this essay, is a good wake up call for those who need the motivation and the encouragement to be really you. To say that it is good to be you, truly you. It is good to have your own thought. It is good to be different. It is good to be unique. It does not matter what race or skin color you are. YOU ARE UNIQUE IN WHO YOU ARE. Don't change that. Be you.

Let me walk you through 'The Pedestrian'

Literally the story is really about someone going for a walk and getting arrested and then the car driving off, how do I know, we talked about it in class :), but still the story somehow has a hidden message no one really knows about. I mean it really was all confusing because Ii thought it was just another story we read in class, no, it actually is something important, (not that anything else is important in class), but it had a sad example of something (don't know what that something is but its something) and at the end having a hidden message, like, "hey look, this is what goes on in our minds when we get over thrown and sad and discouraged and dishonored and disowned or just simply have depression because we don't have the or enough power to behold life." Look another story of reaching to world and telling the people to change for the world to change. When the character gets arrested, the self driving car (if you have no idea what I am talking about, go look at m

So this guy goes for a walk

This typing is one terrible typing about a description of why the author Ray Bradbury wrote the story, "The Pedestrian." How the story is one about a world we would not like to be in or even see. 2053, that is the date this story is based on. I guess its a future but it is also the past. Self-Driving cars too, the future. A house with many windows and rooms and a lined with other houses, the past. This story is like a shuffle mix on a playlist of your songs. This story is something, OK I know this is going to be out of nowhere, but this story can somehow be a Twilight Zone.

The Art of Hosting Good Conversations Online

The over all point of this article is like a guide, manual tech guide on how to be a good host doe the online. But not really one for real life. It also gives out examples and evidence of what to do and what not to do. Who knew there was a guide for holding conversations online??

Same words different people

I talked to my table mate about vocabulary we have in class and he choose illusion for standing out to him the most. He chose this because you can see whats true and whats not. For I chose Characterization and Individualism because they represent what roles we play in life.

Meet my new Vocabulary

These Vocab words are ones that stand out to me the most and I will tell you what they represent to me.  1)Characterization- This word is first on my list because it has a lot of meaning to it and those meanings are the important meanings.  It represents what you are and who you are. 2)Alliteration- Represents sort of like another level of well English. Its makes you sound very grown up and professional but also fun at the same time, can't be too serious but takes action when needed to. 3) Schema- This word is just unique. It sounds unique. Looks unique. Its pretty. 4) Allusion- OK I got confused with this one because its totally the opposite of what I thought first. Represents being mad in a professional way. 5) Diction- Represents my words. Sort of like the boss of all my words. 6) Ace- Represents the highest of what I am good at. 7) Symbolism- Represents what I believe. 8) Individualism-Represents who I am. 9) Myth- Represents what  I believe in my imagination.

How I Read

NOTES: "the philosophy the elevates things done without self-interest above things done for pay" Armatures-love what they do we love what we do we armatures Dead Poet Society 'Point in history its easier to portray that idea in a movie' SCHOPENHAUER 'ensure successful outcomes on exams, transcripts, etc.' 'intellect free of any worldly agenda' 'account for our understanding' ' DO THINGS YOU DO 'superficial and undeveloped' IMPRESSION: 'How We Read' is a very well read essay, I like how it gives the opposite of the title, because most of it was about really not anyone professional and being amateurs and how we are amateurs at what we love to do.

Hawthorne & Poe on Dreams

Hawthorne's story "Young Good Man Brown" and Poe's poem "A Dream Within A Dream." These two, well i don't really have a title for these two, i mean i might es well call them stories or just sayings because of how they are, are really life long lectures about what you do and what can happen. They really give a big impact because they talked about what happens and is beyond life itself. For "Young Good Man Brown," it is a story about what happens after you die. For "A Dream Within a Dream," it is about your imagination and what you want to happen but it can only just your dream but you want that dream to be real. These two are very unique and very wise. They are kind of like a guide for you, through what you go through anything in life.

Investing in Me

How I will start fundraising my life is too keep going with the job I will probably have by then and probably get into more activities in life or get a second job. Activities that will help me get to the other side of the world. I will also work on time management because I am pretty sure that I will need that a lot later on in the future. Will also start with plans for my life, I will make sure to be prepared. Once I know I am all set, I will start to take action.

Letter to a mentor draft 1

Dear Coach Vargas,           Thank you for 10 x 50's that make me wanna die but if it wasn't for them, I probably would not be fast. I still remember how I got first place for the first time in my life!!!, but I think I can work harder and improve more. Thanks to swim ever since my freshman year, I would probably be still stuck on finding myself and thank you to set you have do, that was a great wake up call. I really love how organized you are and just how you are in general. Its pretty cool hanging out with you and for being our coach. I would love to learn how to control my breath for every breaststroke. I am really looking forward to this years swim team. Thank you Vargas.

My Dream Within A Dream

No video available But i do know the poem.

First Impression of a Dream

The poem, A Dream Within A Dream, feels like it is talking about something special that you want to hold on too but can not forever. Sometimes that one special thing can be just a dream.

My Essay Essay

Young Good Man Brown is really a story telling us how he goes through death. What I see is Brown laying in the hospital fighting or giving up in life. When the author says he goes for a walk it probably means, he is on his way to heaven or hell. Then when he reaches the forest, that is when it is time to make his decision. Now he probably does not or does know that which ever side he chooses may impact his soul but first tests. In the reading, Brown comes to an obstacle, something like a pop quiz although he is literally risking his life, a test to which the God or the Devil will take him. Now its sort of a battle between them, God and Devil, because either of them have so many souls. Anyways, Brown is one who takes through the process of death really and what's on the other side. This test can state whether Brown is a good person or not. So then the test brings in everything he has been through or had experienced or have been or is still going through. Which means its bringing u

My Thesis Statement

I would say the main point f an essay is the subject or thing your are defending or disagreeing too. You have you statement an then you have reasoning and then your big big tiger, your evidence, then you finalize it and then boom, you have an argument. I think an essay would be easier with a prompt because without one, you will just be lost, no one needs to be lost.

Read Talk Understand

Reading, looking at words that you start with Talking, choosing words that you will work with Understand, end with the same or different words you start with

Young Old Good Bad (answering questions for class Pt.3)

What I think Hawthorne wrote "Young Good Man Brown" story for many negativity to watch out and to be careful of. I think Stephen King was affected by the story just how scary it is to be choosing the wrong decisions for your life, and how he got affect when Brown lost faith and hope in everything and decided to make the wrong choice for his life. It gives out a message to be careful with your actions and words to someone to who may be going through something they are stuck on and with the power of our imaginations, they help us take us to a better world. To where we can be happy and peaceful.

Young Good Man Brown (answering questions for class Pt.2)

Question 1:  Hawthorne's purpose for the Young Good Man Brown story is another saying, be careful for the decisions you make in life. Question 2: The aptly name, Faith, does not fit her personality because she would have hope in the situation her husband was in Question 3: The pink ribbon signifies cancer Question 4: The story is conjured by a dream/real Question 5:  I believe the old man is himself and his younger self seeing him now die Question 6: The staff can represent him leading to his death Question 7: If Brown wouldn't onward to the forest, he would live longer

My Literature Analysis

The novel I am reading is called, The Hobbit, though I have seen the movie, I like to have more details. The story plot of the novel I about saving a mountain that everyone worships and looks at it as a key to their lives. The theme of the novel is mythology.                What drew me to this book is when one day I came home annoyed and mad and furious and just pissed at the society, and then my mom saw how mad and stressed I was, and from there she asked, "you look like you are about to explode, you need escape." and then she handed me a book and said, "try it you never know what can happen." As I was reading the first few pages, I immediately got hooked on and couldn't lay my eyes for even a second, it was just so unexpected. From the day on and still today, the book had never left my side and I have never left its.

The Medium is the Message

Today's subject, communication. Communication is like the key to some things in the world. Its a big part of the world I'll give you that, but how I would use communication, use it wisely, it makes the first impression of you, like for example a job or crushing on someone, when you text or speak to that one person, you don't want to accidentally say something or rude or dumb. That is why you proof read or just simply think about what your going to say or text.

So.....This guy goes for a walk

This is a first impression of story named Young Good Man Brown, have not finished the story but from what have I read so far, it will be a horror mystery like story. These stories are some i am not big fan of but i will try to give it try.

I Ain't got Time For This

I try my best to have time, get time, use time, pass time. I really do not know know i do it and usually I just go how it goes, with the flow, but when its time to get serious i shift my gears and go into something like lock down mode. I really become a well "working monster," but all i do is just figure out how to solve that situation and with time by my side or against me,it helps m keep going each day to having more time in my future.

Today I Was Thinking

Today's class was about the everyday life we do each day. I liked today's class because we got the schedule we would do every day for the year,it goes like this. Mindful Monday- using time and using lot of your mind by reading books and writing, Techie Tuesday- getting use our blogs and getting to know our blogs more, Cake Wednesday- working on what we will do after high school, Thoughtful Thursday- putting questions into everyday wonder, Freedom Friday- working on anything we didn't finish more in the beginning of the week and preparing fr the weekend to rest. This schedule is very very unique schedule, will definitely enjoy it.

I Care About Your Understanding

Today's post, is probably one of the those post where you don't know what write about or post about. This is for class assignment and to be honest, i still don't get it, but i will try to make and understanding why this is here. First, i think this is here to tell you that its okay if you do not have anything to think of to work on or to do anything. Second, it may take awhile to get your topic, so jut think and think and if there's still nothing, go somewhere, be active, or go outside, and once it hits, you will be good to go

The Making of an Essay

An Essay, GOSH where do i start with that. What is an Essay that comes to your mind? I would say 'stressful', why?, they are literally another version of the devil, i may be exaggerating but isn't true though, i mean they take up and lot of time, they keep us up all, they are mentally tired, they are physically tired, i remember one time where i had write an Essay for a class and i was in my room physically tired and my cousin said "you hand looks like its about to disconnection." What i have learned in class is definitely a tip i would try and a helpful guide i am probably missing in how i usually do essays. Question: how do you do Essays?

Thinking about what I want to think about (answering class questions)

I can't really say i have a big question because all i have are questions, there's really that ONE Big Question. It appeals to me that i question and find answers but if the question isn't worth finding the answer then i am not looking for it, but other i will if its worth it.

Getting to Know You

The Importance of well how the atmosphere is and how society is, I think I can tolerate it and jsut be patience but i know there is still hope in this world, people still care, people still see. There is peace, we just need keep focusing on what's the Important.

The Laughing Heart

Again no video but there is always a response. This poem may be the best i have read, it very wise with its words and very careful and well very simple too because not many know how to do the most simplest things in life but they are trying and because of that they earn special awards.

You are not Entitled to your Opinion

Part three of  Entitled of your Opinion, but the negative effect. Here are the reasons, that other person you are having a conversation with or argument or debate, that other person may not agree, they might take it offensive or just be confused.

Now I Remember

I may not did a video but I did work on memorizing and it was two lines that i remember from the poem, "We thought that he was everything to make us wish that we were in his place, went home and put a bullet through his head," i think these lines were huge impact because of just how someone that can be so perfect in every way can also be someone who's hurt in every way

Richard Cory

I did not do a video on this but i respond to this poem, its a poem that definitely has a big impact and has a big big plot twist, this poem is a poem that you can learn and use it to help your decisions in life.

A Second Helping of the Socratic Seminar

I don't really have much for a part but what i do have is,What is your life like on a daily bases, what is it like now, and would you change anything, remember your using the Socratic Seminar, don't forget it

A Socratic Seminar

First, what is that, what is Socratic Seminar, but i did some research and well is another thing in life we use everyday but we don't notice that we do, it was kind of another Twilight Zone, by the way those are kind of creepy, but it made a good lot sense.

The Right to Your Opinion

So i have already did one post about being entitled to your opinion and this post is about the positive side if it, here it goes, so your having a conversation or an argument with other human being and you know the negative side but the positive side is that you want that victory of knowing that you can be right and at least accomplish something that you have made it your goal in life. Just know if you keep working hard you may get that achievement.

This Book is Dangerous

When it comes to Dr. Suess, what do we think about, how he was an amazing author or was very intelligent for the very famous Cat in the Hat. My teacher had the class recently read a book by the very Dr. Suess, called Fox in a Sock, i don't have a video but i tried reading it as fast as i can and let me tell this book is very dangerous or cursed but it was the most difficult thing i have had to do in my life but it was also very enjoyable.

The First 50 Pages

One day in the summer I came home tired and very very exhausted and went to my bed and just plotted, my cousin noticed and he teased me saying that i'm getting old blah blah, i'm only older by one year, anyways, after he was done e sort of gave me an idea, he said "looks like you want escape", and that when it hit, i needed to leave, needed to find something that i can escape at worst times, so i went to the library at school, found nothing, so i tried searching online and nothing then my mother came in the picture and i sad i need something to help escape when i need to, my mom found a book for me online and she ordered it and the next day she told me to get the mail and so i walked to the mailbox and i found a package and when i went home, my mom right away said "yaay!,it came in" i smiled and well i agreed with her but didn't know what it was, then she said "that's your book" i said "what? really??, woooow" and i ran upstairs t

The Socratic Method

The Socratic Method is another way of killing your enemies within inside. Its a really unique method.

Training your Brain like a Memory Champion

This article was a very of helping in life. When someone is in trouble they could use the article to help them.

How I Read

I read when i am feeling stress or just bored and can't really do anything, I like reading about adventures and fantasies that are adventurous, not ones that are 'A mission to the school bathroom', no, i like ones that are EXACTLY like the Hobbit. I love that nature adventury feeling and it just makes me want to be out in the open and just be free, sort of like a wild horse, i also love how everything was in the mythology time period. When I read, I'm more outside in the nature and just be calm and not worry about anything.

Hack to School (answering questions for school)

The English class i am taking is a literature English class. We talk about reading, writing, but mostly we talk about life and what is the purpose of it.The easiest part of class is to just sit a listen about life and the lectures the teacher gives and i think its pretty cool of what he says. The hardest part of this class is doing something you have never done before. i have learned many things from this class but one that i can think about the most is how saying "being entitled to your opinion is a lie,"which it think is pretty cool (if you have no clue of what i am talking about, i wrote it on my dashboard called entitled), and something i definitely did not know. My Big Question is:what does Mr.Preston have in store for the future?

Communication Strategies of a Hacker

the author of the statement is very angry or very pissed. It was very obvious he wanted them to feel how he was feeling when they were treating him, something like revenge but using his brain instead of his fist. In the beginning he seems furious but towards the end he seems to be calm and gather his thoughts and finish off great, you can also tell that he was thinking about how he could make this statement. You can also tell it is a statement that is also a 'finally someone saying enough' type. I think that people can agree with what he says.

Conscience of a Hacker

This statement was very unique by the way of just how he was using his brain and just making others mad without lifting a finger. I can relate to this statement because once i came home annoyed and mad at just how society is and the more i think about the situation that got me mad i would have the feeling of just fighting someone, and that was when my mother told me, "the only way to win a battle is without lifting a finger" and few days later my mother won a battle against negativity, and just the way she defeated the enemy was just amazing and the statement reminded me of how amazing you can win without lifting a finger.

Today I Asked A Question

How did the world become so negative and dark and violent?, how did we become so angry and sad?, what happened?, why is it that all the time on the news someone dies when they are not supposed to. why is it that someone gets in a fight OVER ANOTHER HUMAN BEING?, why is it so hard to love our self and others?, what happened to the peace and love and happiness?

Am I Not (?) Entitled To My Opinion

you know when people have heated conversations someone would say, "Well i'm entitled to my opinion", why? because they know they know they can hold on to the wrong saying BUT all they'er doing is just stopping the conversation and not finding the truth to whatever they are looking for. Plus, its a lie to them being entitled to their opinion because they are not on the same page with the person they are talking to, because they are not thinking the same has the other person, because we are not the same.
