Let me walk you through 'The Pedestrian'
Literally the story is really about someone going for a walk and getting arrested and then the car driving off, how do I know, we talked about it in class :), but still the story somehow has a hidden message no one really knows about. I mean it really was all confusing because Ii thought it was just another story we read in class, no, it actually is something important, (not that anything else is important in class), but it had a sad example of something (don't know what that something is but its something) and at the end having a hidden message, like, "hey look,this is what goes on in our minds when we get over thrown and sad and discouraged and dishonored and disowned or just simply have depression because we don't have the or enough power to behold life." Look another story of reaching to world and telling the people to change for the world to change.
When the character gets arrested, the self driving car (if you have no idea what I am talking about, go look at my other blog :o) driving down the streets but before that the cop asks the character some question (If you wanna know what I am also talking about,go look at the story on Dr.Preston's website ;), and one of the questions were Are you married?' "No" "Nobody wanted me," He said with a smile", that's from the story, Why do you think he said that with a smile??? One thing can probably be is he prefers to be alone.Most say that it is better to be alone, don't have impress anyone, don't have to look out for anyone, and don't have any problems with anyone. But really do you want to be alone?
Anyways, as they go down the street, the character notices his house and out of all the houses, his house is the one with all lights on and bright. What's the meaning of this? No one else's house is lit up. He noticed that his house is the only one lit up and bright. He looks in shock and confusion of why his house the only bright one,then towards the end of the story, he now realizes how lonely he is, and let me tell you, his reaction isn't a good one. Do you think if something similar that happened to you, how would you react? Because let us be honest, no one really likes to be left alone, I mean it's easier but it's not a good feeling. It can and will be difficult to live with someone or just be in someone' presences but it really is better to be with someone than to be with you (if you know what I mean).
So really, this story is a great example of what can happen when you're alone. We can also take this story as a warning. A warning of well HUMAN INTERACTION!!, it's one of the most simplest but yet very hard thing to do if we don't give it a chance. Now that to think more through and deeper into it, it really isn't that hard. Let's just give it one chance, just one chance. You can really see the difference and change of the perspective and if you are not ready for change, take a few steps at a time. It may take awhile to get but just know, you'll like your results :).
